So, everybody’s going crazy over the cutest critters to hit the grid – Loco Poco’s. I know the feeds have been full of posts regarding these adorable new tinies and their very special island, lovingly crafted by Damien Fate and Washu Zebrastripe, so I’ll keep it short and sweet, but I’ve had such a lot of fun there over the last couple of days I wanted to post some pics for my own happy memories if nothing else!
When I first landed on Tuesday evening, first thing I did was pan out, then took a minute or two to pick my jaw up off the floor! The huge central tree, core to the sim’s storyline obviously dominates, but the beautifully detailed lighthouse and shipwreck are worthy of investigation also. The store is located in the boughs of the tree, and I got myself the cutest lil bunny av. That’s me and Sasy’s mouse in the first pic above, chillaxin in the little Loco Poco village, one of the “dreams”, accessible from the roots of the tree.
Another dream is this gold labyrinth. The texturing is simply awesome, and as the whole build is optimised for Windlight, no tweaking is required! This is one of the areas where you can win special accessories for your Loco Poco – in this case a cute swagbag complete with pretty sparkles.
Another challenge awaits in the lava-pit. Again, incredible texturing and one of the best uses of glow I’ve seen – no sunglasses required!!
I think my favourite challenge is on the ship – one to get the grey matter working!
After exploring in relative peace on Tuesday, it was a real difference to see the sim so packed for yesterdays official launch. It took me several attempts to tp in, but was well worth it. A special scavenger hunt was set up, the prize being an event exclusive ferret Loco Poco, which is cuter than it sounds, promise!! It took me a good couple of hours and a crash, but I finally found everything and claimed my prize, dressing my new av with colour change clothes from the Loco Poco shop, pictured above. It was great to see such a good turnout, and hope that those visitors and new ones will return again and again to enjoy the build, hang with other Loco Poco’s and check out the new merchandise and challenges planned.
So head on over and have some fun. Just don’t be a diva: lose those designer threads and get your Loco Poco on, you won’t regret it!

What gorgy pics Efe!!!
It really is lovely Cajsa, full of the feel good factor. And thanks for the compliments re: the pics, but the only one I can take any credit for is the pan of the island, the rest are just using the viewers defaults – it’s *that* well built!
Ooh nice pics! I had so much fun there at the scavenger hunt the other day, will def. be going back!
