From Dawn ’til Dusk

So, Sasy wanted more words, so I decided to do some swotting at the library, in a simple outfit built around that essential item – the white shirt. I couldn’t be a bookworm for too long, but luckily a white shirt is infinitely adaptable and carried me right through til bedtime.

With the best of intentions, I dressed myself for work and headed for the books. This demure blouse from Simone was just the job, whilst the delicious texturing of the Poison Candy skirt shows off a neat figure. I kept the makeup pretty and pink, picked a tidy style to keep my hair out of my eyes and chose the soft suede of the Maitreya Verve pumps to complement – not terribly sure they’d fall into the category of sensible shoes tho! I’ve been looking for an excuse to buy the wonderful Greta glasses from Artilleri for a while now, and couldn’t pass up the opportunity. For fear of being too strait-laced, I finished off with the Corseted Choker from Trixie’s Treasures, subtle but still a little naughty!

And that naughty side of me couldn’t stay hidden for too long. After hitting the books, I loosened a couple of hair pins, undid a button or three to reveal a glimpse of the deep red of Insolence’s Melanie bra, and rummaged in my capacious handbag (aka inventory) for my sexy leather pants from Adam n Eve. I just adore the texturing of these, a subtle sheen, giving the impression of the softest fine leather, with subtle creases in just the right places. I took advantage of Tuli’s half-price storecard offer this last weekend, and indulged myself in the Emily fatpack – the Sultry makeup was perfect to add a splash of colour to the lips and smokiness to the eyes, before heading to the nearest bar.

Quick aside here – I’ve used a blouse from Last Call, sadly no longer available direct. Some bloggers would disagree with using an item that’s no longer on general sale. My point of view is that I blog for fun, not as a commercial tool, tho certainly if somebody likes something I show and heads off to buy it, great – anything to support quality content creators. But if I happen to have the perfect item for an outfit in my inventory already, I’m going to wear it, regardless of whether or not it’s generally available at the time.

A few Cosmo’s later, and time to head home to peel myself out of the leather pants, throw on a comfy mens shirt and shake out my hair. The Melanie lingerie is, as to be expected from Insolence, exquisitely detailed – beautiful embroidery, discreetly flattering shading, and the neatest possible edging with minimal bleed. Judging from other lingerie and swimwear manufacturers, avoiding bleed is one of the hardest things to do, and Camilla Yosuke does it just marvelously. The final touch that I just couldn’t resist was the fun boudoir slippers from Angels. And now, after my busy day, time to climb into bed for my favourite threesome – me, Ben and Jerry!!
